For years, I’ve been involved in underground music scenes which revolve around the chipmusic phenomenon, and the use of vintage computers and video game systems to create profound music. With the community growing in online circles in recent years, longtime promoter and chiptune veteran CalmDownKidder started an online show to serve as a weekly digest for those interested in the movement.

For the online show chiptune.chat, a visual identity was developed that took inspiration from the design sensibilities of 1980s VHS and cassette packaging and applied it in a modern context for Twitch and social media.
