You’re looking at it right now! Rose-Tinted is a pixel-based type family inspired by retro games such as Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, which approached pixel typography with consideration for italics to add personality. While many designers have experimented with pixel type over the years, there’s a unique challenge that comes with developing a type language that also accounts for bold, italic, and bold italic variants while respecting the limitations of the grid system.
